The Activities Ministry is putting together a team to participate in the 2008 Relay For Life of Wayne Township.  This is a fun-filled 24-hour event designed to raise money for research, education programs, and advocacy efforts for all forms of cancer.  The event includes survivor recognition, a luminaria ceremony, and many different forms of entertainment and activities to fill the hours.  Relay For Life of Wayne Township is in its fifth year and working to raise $40,000!  We hope that many of you will help us to help them reach this goal by committing to raise $100 each through team and personal fundraising efforts, paying a $10.00 registration fee per person, and, if possible, joining in the walk on May 17 & 18 at the Chapel Hill 7^th & 8^th Grade Track.  I’m sure each and every one of us has had a friend, family member, or acquaintance that has been afflicted by cancer.  Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day, cancer will be eliminated.  Our team is named the BDCC Blasters (as in BLAST THAT CANCER RIGHT OUT OF OUR BODIES!).
