Greetings
from Ben Davis Christian Church,
Someone has written that home is where
the heart is. A church home is a place where we allow God to cleanse
our hearts. It is the place where many of our children learn to love
God with receptive hearts. A church home provides a family to help
in the mending of broken hearts. And it is a place where we praise
God with our hearts.
"We are Ben Davis Christian Church where hearts of every age are lifted to God through blended worship, outreach into the community, discipleship, ministry, and fellowship...that people of every age may have passionate hearts for God and compassionate hearts for others.” That is our statement of mission. It is important that we regularly remind ourselves of who we are. Below are our core values!
B - Bible Driven. We believe that the scriptures are the God-given standard for the church and the life of the individual.
E - Enthusiastic Worship. Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary. We are multi-generational and seek to meet the needs of each age in worship and in church life.
N - Need Oriented. It is our hope to lift hearts...to be a church of grace that presents God’s word as good news. We believe our greatest need is to give our hearts to God and others.
D - Dedicated to family life. We stress the need and responsibility to live our faith in our homes.
A - Anticipating Growth. This is particularly spiritual growth in our individual lives. We encourage our people to be involved in small groups, ministries, Sunday School and consistent worship.
V - Visitor Friendly. We want the church to be a place of belonging...a community of love and grace. We are excited to meet and include new people and we welcome the opportunity to worship with them and minister to them.
I - Involving all in Ministry. We encourage each person to serve in ministries in the church and community using their God-given talents and gifts.
S - Striving for excellence. We serve a great God who deserves our very best.
